A new housing estate has been built in Stirchley right next to the Rea Valley Route (NCN5). Sadly the two were not connected with a path, and this desire line is the result. One or persons has broken down the wire mesh fence and laid down a rubber mesh mat to make it less of a quagmire. The low wooden fence just beyond the grass makes cycle access difficult, though it is possible to cycle to the end of the fence on the right and cut across the grass at an angle. There is evidence that people have been doing this, because the grass has been worn away at the point where the desire line passes between the fence and a culvert.
