Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has put out a preliminary consultation on improvements to Hagley Road from Five Ways to the junction with Portland Road, which includes a segregated cycle track on the north side of Hagley Road. The plans only show a line on a map at the moment - there are no detailed highways plans for those of us who enjoy the details - but it is promising that TfWM want to have segregated cycle track alongside improvements to bus lanes here. Although Portland Road is still a long way from Bearwood, every extra meter of cycle track along that corridor would be welcome.

TfWM are collecting comments from people who have connections with the area - please make sure you make your voice heard in support of improving cycling conditions there.
